Root Canals

Root canals are needed when the nerve of the tooth becomes infected. There is a large misconception that root canals hurt, with today’s anesthetic we are able to numb the tooth properly so that the patient is comfortable and pain free for the duration of the procedure. Once the root canal is completed the tooth will receive a filling and in most cases a crown to prevent the tooth from fracturing in the future. In many cases, root canals can be avoided by coming in for your regular 6 month check up and diagnostic x-rays. This way we are able to catch the cavity before it gets to the nerve and you may only need a small filling.

Dentures

Traditional dentures are used to replace all of your missing teeth on either the top, bottom or both of your arches. While they do provide an esthetically pleasing result, they fall short in function. Oftentimes, only providing 30% of your chewing capability. For this reason we offer and recommend placing some implants that we can attach the dentures to. In doing so, they do not move around and provide you with a greater ability to eat without compromising the natural look. If you have issues with your denture not fitting properly or not being able to eat everything you would like, be sure to let Dr G know!
